TRUTH: Read it, Speak it, Live it

Hey Spring Semesters Participants!

In a few weeks, you will all be together at training camp! I’m sure that it’s all starting to feel more than a little surreal. The fact that you are about to leave the country for 3 months and serve the Lord across the world is no longer a dream that could maybe happen one day…. It is a full on reality.

With goodbyes (see-you-later’s) just around the corner (or have already come), there are many opportunities for the enemy to step in and start his work on your heart and mind.

He may try to convince you that the Lord has lied to you; that God is not good and will let you down; that it’s just too much money to raise; that maybe it would just be better to stay home; that everything will fall apart if you leave; that you’ll never be able to pack all of your stuff in that one backpack; that you can’t live without [fill in the blank]; that it might not be worth all of this work and stress; that there’s no way you can be single for that long or be away from your boyfriend/girlfriend for 3 months; that you didn’t really hear from God…..

These thoughts might be a combination of influences from the enemy, those around you, our culture, or your own heart. They might by any one of those things, but they are certainly NOT the thoughts of God!! Search through Scriptures and you will not find verses that encourage you to back out, step down, give up, or hide away.

From Genesis to Revelation, His message to His people is consistent:

Genesis 26:24

I am the God of your father Abraham; do not fear, for I AM with you!

Numbers 21:34

Do not fear him, for I have delivered him [your enemy] into your hand.

2 Chronicles 20:17

You have nothing to fear and you are not alone!

You were called, you are provided for, you are chosen, you are anointed, you are appointed, you are accepted in Jesus’ name, and you have healing to bring to the lame, comfort to bring to the widows and orphans, and freedom to bring to the captive!

We are so proud of you.

Rest in the truth that God is speaking over you today, soak in His word, draw near to the Lord- resist the devil – and he must flee.

You are ready for this.
